What is new?
Carter Burwell recently completed the score to The Founder, starring Michael Keaton as Ray Kroc, the "founder" of McDonalds.
He currently has three films in release.
The Family Fang is directed by Jason Bateman, with a screenplay by David Lindsay-Abaire, based on the book by Kevin Wilson, starring Nicole Kidman, Jason Bateman, Christopher Walken. It follows the adult children of two performance artists, and their effort to grow up without any role models for "adult" behavior.
Hail Caesar! is written and directed by Joal and Ethan Coen and stars Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johnansson. The film follows Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin) during a day in 1951 as he deals with complications at Hollywood studio Captiol Pictures.
Anomalisa is an animated film adaptation of a play that Charlie Kaufman wrote (under the pen name Francis Fregoli) for the Theater of the New Ear project, starring David Thewlis, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Tom Noonan.
Carol was nominated this year for Academy Award, Golden Globe and Critics Choice awards as best score of 2015. Carol and Anomalisa were also recently chosen as the best scores of the year by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.
